The castle is equally beloved by animals as it is by people. Perhaps not entirely surprising - the nature reserve is perfect for long walks and energetic play! The castle's history is lined with an impressive array of pets that have lived here. Marguerite Wenner-Gren was a beloved animal lover who surrounded herself with a large and diverse entourage of pets, which she took with her wherever she traveled in the world. There's a story about a time at Miami Airport when Mrs. Wenner-Gren caused panic by releasing her 16 accompanying dogs.

New Year's Eve is particularly appreciated by our canine guests, as there is a fireworks ban across the entire peninsula. During the recent New Year's weekend, the castle was filled with New Year's revelers as usual, both human guests and dog guests. It was a fantastic celebration for all guests. Book your New Year's celebration well in advance though, as it tends to fill up early in the year.

DOG POLICY

Dogs must be leashed during the stay and are not welcome at the breakfast buffet or allowed to swim in the pool. We are unable to accommodate female dogs in heat at Häringe and reserve the right to refuse dogs in heat. Dogs cannot participate in evening events such as Murder Mystery Dinners and Ghost Tours, but they are welcome in hotel rooms. Dogs are allowed in selected dining areas. Our dog-friendly hotel room buildings are: Sjöflygeln, Västra Flygeln, and Wenner-Grens Paviljong.
